Case Study: Faure Water Treatment Plant Potable Water Treatment and Sludge Handling

摘要

This paper covers the design and general arrangement of the process train of the Faure Water Treatment Plant which has a current capacity of 500 Megalitres per day and was designed with a view to doubling the capacity in a second stage of construction. The plant is situated some 40 km from Cape Town, South Africa. It forms part of the Cape Metropolitan Council's bulk water supply system.
