摘要

The use of secondary refining process has been rapidly increased as the demand of clean steel has been increased. To assure the efficient operation of the refining facilities, optimum refractories for the facilities has been needed new carbon-containing refractory bricks for metal line in ladle, was developed to meet the necessity in which alumina was added. The effected of amount of graphite and alumina, added to the bricks, on quality of the bricks were investigated. Also it was studied how to both granulometry of raw materials and additives affected its quality. The aluminal-added magnesia-carbon brick (MgO-Al_2O_3-C brick) showed the extended service life as compare to magnesia-added alumina-carbon brick (Al_2O_3-MgO-C brick) in ladle metal line, operated at high temperature and for long time.
