This paper will present the improvements made over the past four years at Chaparral Steel Texas Melt Shop. It covers new installations of the A furnace transformer, new casting machine, and complete new ladle furnace. It also covers information on increased casting speed improvements to help minimize furnace delays and increase productivity.
