Environmentally friendly powder coating for wire and cable manufacturing

Powder coatings and dusting materials are being used in a wide variety of applications in wire and cable manufacturing. An overview of these applications that cuts across a broad range of wire industry segments is provided under three categories: functional coatings (electrical insulation and corrosion resistance), decorative coatings and dusting applications. The discussion of the applications, powder materials used and the coating process and equipment involved will provide insight into utilizing environmentally friendly powder coatings and equipment in wire and cable manufacturing.
