Casting Technologies Supporting the Development of Direct Hot Charged Carbon and Stainless Steel Production at Armco's Mansfield Operations

Casting technologies that have contributed to the successful production quality flat rolled carbon and stainless steel at Mansfield will be reviewed, along with some recently implemented tools used to assist casting practice development. Future plans for the production of additional specialty steel grades at Mans-field will also be presented.
