Micromechanics and lamminate analysis in honor of dr. pagano's 65th birthday

This symposium is a unique cooperation between three ASME divisions (Materials, Aerospace, and Applied Mechanics) to honor the lifetime contributions of Dr. Nicholas J. Pragano in commemoration of his 65th birthday. In addition to invited authors, additional papers were solicited for a broad range of subjects relating to composite materials. Fifty-five papers were accepted and organized into eleven sessions. Among the eleven sessions, four addressed micromechanical stress analysis at the fiber/matrix/interface level. Topics of the additional sessions included woven composites, fatigue and damage, characterization and modeling, laminate analysis, as well as bolted and bonded joints. Sessions covering manufacturing, testing, and design, as well as random microstructures and hybrid structures rounded out the symposium.
