Natural gas reburnign (NGR) is a process using natrual gas that reduces the nitrogen oxides emissions (NO_x) from large size industrial furnaces.Athis process was expeirmentally and numerically studied using a furnace fitted with a flat-flame burner.the experimental results show numerically studied using a furnace fitted with a flat-flame burner. The experimental results show the effect of the various parameters on the NO_x reduction efficiency. The numerical results made it possible to better understand all dynamci and thermal phenomena obseved experimentally. In fact, numerical simulation, validated using expeirmental results, permitted to define in an original manner the characteristics of the natural gas and burnout air concentration fields, the combustion product temperature and velocity field.Lastly, the numerical study made it possible to determine the conditions necessary to imporve the efficiency of the process for industrial applications.
