The potential of enzyme/mediator systems based on laccase and Mn-peroxidase from Pleurotus eryngii to modify wheat-lignin from straw, pulp and alkalilignin, is examined here. Decrease of Ftir lignin-bands and modification of H:G:S ratio and phenolic content of phenylpropanoid compounds (analyzed by Py-GC-MS after sample permethylation), were observed.
