Lips detection by morphological image processing

摘要

This research discusses the problems of lips localization and feature point detection which have gained much attention in applications such as lip-reading, visualassisted speech recognition, audio/video synchronization, etc. Our method is primarily based upon morphological processing of time-difference images which highlight the lips motions. Experiments show that accptable results can be obtained.
