A single jack-up platform lattice leg has been modelled at 1/100{sup}(th) scale, and penetrated to a prototype depth of 28m into a soft kaolin clay at 100g in the Cambridge Beam Centrifuge. Monotonic lateral load was applied to the leg and thelateral load transfer onto the model spud can and the leg's lattice structure were determined using measurements from load cells and bending moment transducers.
