A geotechnical centrifuge with a radius of 6.6 m has been developed at the Public Works Research Institute, Japan. This is the third centrifuge in PWRI. The main features of the equipment are; a radius of 6.6 m, an earthquake capability of 40 g-ton, and double swing platforms to enable clay consolidation preparation at a same time.
