摘要

This paper provides a detailed study of an intake strucure slope of Longtan hydropower project of China, the rock slope is susceptible to toppling. centrifuge model tests were performed to investigate the toppling failure mechanism and the instability of the intake slope. Numerical analysis by an improved limit equilibrium method attributed to Chen and Zhang (1996) was undertaken. The resutls of numerical analysis and the centrifuge model tests show god agreement.
