Recently Cable TV in China has developed very rapidly. Subscriber number is exploding and technology is constantly changing. Now all provinces are planning to construct provinical cable TV network which extends to cities, counties, and towns. Area cable network has been completed or is in progress in some provinces or cities. The national one connecting to all proivinces is under rapid development. Access network has been put on date everywhere. Copper cable network is gradually replaced by HFC network. In recent years, domestic and foreign experts have argued and discussed on the advantages of HFC network, believing that HFC is the best solution tothe last one kilometer broadband access network for information highway.
