Hildebrand Lock Dam Sedimentation Problem and Solution

摘要

This paper presents a brief report outlining the results of an U.S. Army Watersways Experiment Station (WES) sediment study for the upper approach to Hildebrand Lock and Dam on the Monongahela River in West Virginia. Through the use of physical and numerical modeling, a durable and cost effective design was formualted to reduce costly maintenance dredging in this lock approach.
