Performance measurement and evaluation of a web-based application

摘要

Many coprorations are in the process of replacing legacy systems with Web-based applications. with this trend a new class of performance problems are emerging, motivation the need for new tools and performance evaluation techniques. This paper discusses the performance evluation of a Web-based application using Visual Wave~(TM) and Oracle~(TM). Discussed are the derivation of a workload and adaptation of Webpest to drive a system with multiple forms. A series of performance metrics were collected to locate bottlenecks and determine how to improve Web system performance.
