摘要

The increase of depth in underwater wet welding affects the weld metal chemical composition and is responsible for increasing the porosity of the deposited material. Changes in chemical composition are, usually, characterized by loss of deoxidizers and oxygen pickup that results in an increase of the inclusion content of the weld. The degradation of the mechanical properties of the weld can be credited to these adverse variations of chemical composition and microstructure.
