Relationship Between Actual Energy COnsumption For Heating/Cooling and Calculated Results

The energy consumption in residential houses has been increasing with the improvement of indoor environmental level in Japan. For the reduction of global environemental load, it is essential that the energy conservation methods should be investigated based on actual energy consumption in eacharea. In this study, based on residential energy consumption surveyed in eight major cities of vaius limatic conditions in Japan, its characteristics wee analyzed. By comparing th actual heating/cooling consumption data with calculated results obtained by the thermal estimation program, it was suggested that the calculatd results were close enough from the viewpoint of practical use to the actual data when actual heating/cooling schedules were taken into account.
