New techniques for measuring time intervals with very high resolution

A novel application of time stretching to measure time intervals with resolution in the picosecond range is described. The advantages of these new methods over previous practice are common stop mode of operation and the ease of calibration. These new techniques can use the data itself for calibration, without requiring precisely spaced.
