Tata Electric Companies, is presently the largest private owned power utility in lndia who supply power to the city of Mumbai (Bombay). TEC have successfully refurbished a 150 MW multifuel fired unit at their Trombay Thermal Station known as Trombay Unit-4, after carrying out remnant life assessment studies for steam trubine, generator, boiler, condenser and HP piping systems through analytical and non-destructive methods. The 150 MW unit commissioned in 1965, has been in service for 30 years till 1995 and generated 27,705 million units (Kwh).
