Due to catastrophic damage,the turbine-compressor rotor of a gas turbine has been bent of 0.62 mm.The in-situ repair process of rotor straightening is fully descr.The repair process included the design of special fixtures for placing the rotor vertically and then hydraulically tensioning the rotor bolts for discs disassembling,dressing of the compressor discs,rotor assembling and run-out check by a special rotary equipment.After the repair process the rotor run-out fell within the design limits.Finally the rotor was put back into service.The approach to the in-house repair of the rotor bend has been successful and can be widely recommended for users of turbomachinery.
