The thermal behavior of atria: measured data compared with a computational fluid dynamics model of the bradbury building

摘要

This paper presentss a study of temperature stratification and air movement in an atrium by comparing measured data and a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model. The historic Bradbury BUilding in downtown Los Angeles, which represents a classic atrium form, is used a based a base case for the purpose of the study.
