摘要

A Toxicity Reduction Evaluation (TRE) is a stepwise approach aimed at reducing toxicity from a point source discharge. A TRE consists of six tiers, each of which have specific objectives. These tiers are: I Data Collection, II Housekeeping, Chemical Usage/Treatment System Evaluation, III Toxicant Identification, IV Toxcity Reduction Method Evaluation, V Control Method Implementation, and VI Follow- up and Confirmation.
