摘要

Holographic interferometry has been used to study temperature distribution at free convection in the gap between coaxial cylinders using the 2-nd kind (constant heat flux) boundary condition. The experimental results satisfactorily agree with numerical data obtained form the solution of the convective heat transfer equation at Ra<10~5. Three-dimentionality of the holographic interferometric pictures allows to reveal the influence of boundary effects at the end-face windows and demonstrate the discrepancy of the temperature distribution with respect to two-dimensional simulation considered in numerical study. The regimes of high Rayleigh number (Ra>10~7) corresponding to transient and turbulent natural convection in annuli with rectangular heater were studied.
