摘要

This paper studied the influence of the beta-effect on the thermodynamic structure of baroclinic wave with the method of the experimental simulation we studied. The result shows that the beta-effect can inhibit the horizontal and vertical mixing, and drive the flowing to barotropy. It also shows that there is a region of temperature catastrophe both inside and outside of the jet. Their space structure is similar to that of the arctic front adn the pole front in the atmospheric circulation.
