The oil-fired fly ash was collected by the electrostatic precipitator or cyclone collector that had been installed on fuel oil fired boiler to clean exhaust gas. It was estiamted that in Taiwan the annual production of oil-fired fly ash was about 43,000 tons in which the EP fly ash was about 13,000 tons. This ash was constituted of unburned carbon, vanadium and nickel oxide,a nd water soluble sulfate.
