The mining of coal seams of medium thickness in worsened mining-geology conditions presents a serious problem in the OKR and other coal districts. In these conditions a significant amount of supplies are deposited, which are needlessly under-utilize. What's more, tectonic faults occur unexpectedly in what are called certain blocks.In working faces, mined with mechanized reinforcements in seams of medium thickness, methods of working with these faults are not in the meantime completely worked out, and many times the untimely removal of mechanized reinforcements of such mining faces takes place as well. This contribution contains:1. factors influencing work with tectonic fractures in mining faces2. a proposal for working out the alignment of faults in mining faces with mechanized reinforcements3. a proposal for a technological approach for working with tectonic faults in mining faces of medium thickness.
