Validating EM analysis tools with IR measurements

摘要

Infrared (IR) measurement techniques have been developed to determine electromagnetic (EM) field distributions. These techniques are used to validate predictions made by Computational Electromagnetic (CEM) simulation tools. The CEM tools employed in this paper were th general Electromagnetic Model for the analysis of Complex Systems (GEMACS) code and the Finite Difference Time Domain (FD-TD) technique. This paper provides comparisons between measured and simulation results from various scattering and interior coupling experiments. The purpose is to demonstrate the feasibility and illustrate the application of using IR measurements as a validation technique.
