AIDDS: a system for developing and testing incident detection algorithms

Incident management is a major problem in traffic control. Traffic incidents are the casue for more than half of all traffic delays. The research undertaken by the University of Minnesota has reached a point where good knowledge on different incident detection techniques has been achieved.
