Falling film receivers constitute an alternative to the traditional Salt-In-Tube (SIT) receivers, widely used and tested in Central Receiver Systems (CRS). This report presents an innovative concept of Internal Film Receiver (IFR), in which a film made of a eutectic mixture of molten salts flows down the back side of a 2 mm thick stainless steel panel.
