摘要

This paper presents the results from a study to determien the response of a brick structure with partition walling, of approximately 100m~3 internal volume, to internal detonations of 0.5-2.2kg of an aluminised high explosive. The objective of the work was to predict the limiting mass of explosive to cause the building to collapse. This study was the precursor to a major practical field trial and was conducted using the Defence Research Agency GRIM3D and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory DYNA3D software.
