Predictions of Vapor-Liquid Equilibria Using Pure Component Properties

Equation of state(EOS) method using only pure component parameters is proposed for predictions of vapor-liquid equilibria of mixtures. It is an integration of EOS, excess free energy model and MOSCED model of infinite dilution activity coefficients. Based on MOSCED model used to predict the interaction parameters of the activity coefficients equation, EOS with recently developed mixing rules combined with excess Gibbs free energy expression: MHV1, MHV2, PSRK, LCVM can predict satisfactorily vapor-liquid equilibria over a wide temperature and pressure range. All the mixing rules are compared with respect to their performance in the prediction of vapor-liquid equilibria of systems containing polar components.
