摘要

A selective, direct continuous, low-power catalytic conversion of methane to C_2 hydrocarbons via AC/DC corona discharge was studied at the atmosphere. Methane can be converted to ethane, ethylene, acetylene and a little of carbon in different selectivities depending on operation conditions. Conversions of methane as high as 65% have been realized. Potential line of electrical field was calculated by charge simulation method which is based on the concept of discrete charges. The calculation of electric fields requires the solution of Lapace's and Poisson's equation with boundary condition satisfied.
