The diaphragm is a critical part in the diaphragm compressor when running, the alternating stress occurs in the diaphragm as the cause of frequent reciprocating elastic deformation. Therefore it is very important to get a kind of new diaphragm material which has properties of high-strength, high-plasticity and corrosion resistance. Meanwhile the new material can improve, the compressor's performance and prolong the service life of the diaphragm. The new diaphragm material is 00Crl5Ni5 martensitic stainless steel. By way of reasonably controlling the content of C, Cr, Ni and impurity, and taking the suitable processing, we can get the high quality material which is steady martensitic structure, easy for heat-treatment and has high-mechanical properties. The different diaphragm compressors which the new diaghragm fitted in all obtained high efficiency. Meanwhile, the diaphragm got remarkably long service life.
