We design multiloop rate-based PI (Proportional- Integral) controller for AQM (Active Queue Management) of the switching node in the high-speed network based on the DNA (Direct Nyquist Array method) in this paper. The design method allows the user to specify the robustness and performance of the system through gain and phase margin specifications. The transmission rate of source node is regulated based on the feedback information of the buffer of the respective output link in the switching node. The network is asymptotically stable and exhibits a good transient behavior.
