STRANGENESS PRODUCTION IN Pb+Pb AT 158 GeV/NUCLEON

Preliminary inclusive spectra of strange particles produced in Pb+Pb collisions at 158 GeVucleon were presented. The results show no additional enhancement of strangeness production relative to S+S. A large ratio of K~+/K~- at mid-rapidity indicates a baryon-rich central rapidity region. An unexplained deficit of charged to neutral kaons is also observed.
