The results on the running gear box showed that one gear wheel pair contributes significantly more than the other. However, both are rattling which is also indicated by the correlation analysis. The result was also confirmed by determing the velocity difference between the acting gear wheel pairs. It can be concluded that the used correlation tecnique has been showed able to detect the domimant source not only in theory but also on a running gear box.The Correlation Coefficient gives detailed information. Since it is non sensitive for the magnitude of the analysed signals even small pulses will be detected. Because of all these details in the results.
