Utilization of fly ashes from powerstations for the production of expansive cements

摘要

In this paper, there will be given the requirements with respect to the properties of ashes of lignite and hard coal for the production of expansive cements forming Ettringite during their hy-dration process. Furthermore, the influence of chemical properties and granulometric characteristics of ashes on the burnability of the raw mixture and the quality of expansive cements will be described. It will be given the necessary annual amounts of ashes and other starting materials with appropriate chemical composition for the production of special clinker and composite cements with expansive characteristics.
