Intranet Assisted Instruction

Over the years, our university, similar to a lot of other universtities, has committed large amounts of resources and initiated processes and procedures by which colleges or schools can build technology infrastructure. Our current technology infrastructure includes computers in faculty offices, in student computing centers, in instructional labs, in information systems and services division and in multimedia classrooms that are networked together with access to each other and to the Internet. Using open Internet standards, several of the above computer systems are equipped as Web servers and most of hte above computers are equipped as Web clients, giving us a capability that is commonly referred to as an "Intranet." This paper describes how we are currently using this Intranet to assist our educational efforts.
