Shotpeening has many applications in manufacturing, for example on springs, on gears and on turbine-blades. Estimation of effects of shotpeening is carried out by measurements of an archeight and a coverage using Almen-Strip. The methods can not measure quantitative measurements of impact number and of the impact load due to the shotpeening to the measuring points. In this study, the impact number and the impulse load of shots which impact Almen-Strip is quantitative measured by the piexoelectric sensor. A comparison of an archeight and a coverage with the results by the piezoelectric sensor is discussed.
