摘要

The great benefit of economizing on energy can be obtained by applying the technology of continuous casting and continuous rolling the steel plant. However, there are some defective slabs in the process of continuous casting for various reasons that the quality of slabs need to be known on-line in order to decide if they are in need of repairing off-line before rolling. There are two method to deicde the on-line treatment of the slab, one is the detection method which knows the quality by a special detectoscope, other is the software method which predicts the quality through tracking technological parameters in the production. Theoretically the software method can not only satisfy the production requirement of coffering the treatment method of slabls like the detection method but also help optimizing the technology of production and decreasing the rate of defective slabs (At home there is a detect divce used on an experimental basis but no such device on inustry~((6))). In fact at abroad the software method which have developed from the canned software to the flexible software to be tailored or modified by the operator, has not successfully satisfied the production but also helped optimizing the technology of production and decreasing the rate of defective slab, and has already became a necessary condition of quality assurance in the production of cintinuous casting. At home the application effect of the software method which introduced as a package with the equipment from abroad is not very well~((5)), we have to develop the Quality Prediction System Software (QPSS) suited our country.
