摘要

In the present study, two different types of turbulent model as k- epsilon and LES(Large Eddy Simulation) were chosen for representing the turbulent properties in continuous casting turdishes, and a mathematical model to describe the three-dimensional turbulent flow in continuous cating tundish was developed. Numerical calculations were performed to study the characteristics of flow in an one-strand tundish with/without flow control and the reasonability of turbulent models has been discussed and analyzed. The results show that the proper flow control is in favor of inclusion floating in the tundish; basically; the phenomena of flow in the tundish can be well described by using traditional k- epsilon model, and the phenomena which could not be well predicted by k- epsilon model can be described by using LES.
