Investigation on the fluid resistance in horizontal continuous casting of wire rod

To eliminate the pured short of the melts in the process of horizontal continuous casting of high-alloy welding rod, a theoretical derivation of fluid resistance during casting and solidification has been given and the factors influencing the fluidity has been analyzed. The technological parameters of production have been modified on the basis of the analysis. According to the production results, the higher casting temperature and higher pulling frequency is preferred.
