Application of plasma tundish heating

摘要

This paper briefly introduces plasma tundish neating system, and de-scribes the resolution of critical technical problems in detail. Especially, the proper flow of liquid steel in the tundish, return electrode and plasma heating process were carefully studied. As a result, the new-designed return electrode makes the plasma torch start at zero tundish level, and the converter tapping temperature of the first ladle reduces.
