This paper briefly describes the configuration of a variable-speed constant-frequency (VSCF) generating system. A new method employing frequency shift modulation (FSM) technique is proposed to obtain the on-line extraneous harmonic analysis for the VSCF system output voltage. The principle is clarified and the practical block diagram is also discussed. Finally, the experimental study is carried out to assess the effect at a ready-made 15KW VSCF system.
