VOLTAGE STABILITY ANALYSIS AND CONTROL IN DALIAN REGION OF NORTHEAST NETWORK

In this paper, a real-time voltage stability analysis software is introduced. The software includes the following module blocks:1. The interface with real-time state estimation;2. Load Flow;3. voltage stability criterion computation;4. Voltage stability limit computation;5. Voltage stability analysis in contingency condition;6. Load control for protecting free voltage collapse.A nonlinear programming model for calculating Voltage Stability Limit ( VSL ) is built, a Power Gradient Citerion ( PGC) is derived by the conditions of calculating VSL. The calculating for PGC only is to solve the power flow equations and a set of algebraic equations that coefficient matrix is the transposition of Jacobian matrix. The model and criterion is used to real-time voltage stability analysis software. As an example, this software is used to Dalian Region in Norheast network, computating the voltage stability criterion at the critical substation and voltage stability limit in this region, computating conditions include:the normal condition one generator operating one generator operating and one of three lines outage or this generator outages, which also can computate shedding the amount of the load power. The real-time data are made use of by all examples.
