A full-dimensional adaptive grid generation technique using the two-dimensional equidis-tribution statement is presented. Instead of applying the one-dimensional equidistribution statement in each coordinate direction, this technique applies the two-dimensional equidistribution statement to generate the cell-based adaptive grid. The gradient and curvature equations that are involved in the weight function are also modified to be the two-dimensional quantities. The Reparameterized Uniform Rational B-Spline surface is used for the grid redistribution. Several applications are presented to demonstrate the success of this technique.
