In this paper we present multiblock multigrid algorithms for the generation of boundary-fitted grids (BFGs) along with a control strategy for anisotropy investigation. These algorithms combine an appropriate technique for matching blocks, the elliptic grid generation and the multigrid computation. By analysis on the anisotropic behaviour of the discrete non-linear 2D and 3D generation systems during multigrid computation we identify algorithms able to solve "weakly" anisotropic problems. Their performance evaluation leads to sustain they can provide satisfactory numerical solutions and fast convergence.
