Fort Leonard Wood is located in south central Missouri and comprises about 25,200 hectares (63,000 acres) in Pulaski, Laclede and Texas counties. It is the engineer heavy equipment training base for the combined forces of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and the Engineer School for the Army. Fort Leonard Wood also provides basic training for Army troops.
