Research activity about temporal databases mainly concerns centralized environments.Due to the large amount of data that applications usually process it is convenient to distribute information on different sites.When a distributed system maintains temporal versions of data,concurrency of transactions requires consistency controls on the involved temporal intervals.A critical feature is then validation or abort of distributed transactions.Since validation depends on atomicity,this concept is here revised from a temporal point of view to solve transaction conflicts so as to manage concurrency.
