摘要

We report here on an investigation of the time-resolved X-ray emission nonuniformity in laser-produced X-ray laser gain medium. The quantitative analysis of experimental results agrees with a theoretical model. It is pointed out that radiative cooling instability is one possible reason for the X-ray emission nonuniformity and for the limited gainlength value for recombination laser pumping scheme. Some discussions are presented on several general and most difficult questions in the recombination scheme.
